ocio Ruiz ‘23, is a communication major and is deeply involved with our radio station @wgsu893. She is currently working on a documentary podcast and hopes to pursue a career in that field after she graduates.
"I want to work in a place where I can be creative, where I can also initiate some stories rather than working for a big company that kind of tells me what to do. I want to be able to challenge myself when doing stories."
Ruiz anticipates that after she graduates, reminding herself of the fear that she had in college and overcame, will help her be confident that she can accomplish anything.
"When I go out there and find a job, reminding myself that I had so much fear and I was able to accomplish the things that I did, that is what I am going to constantly remind myself of.
