GENseng performed Mahesh Dattani's "Where There's a Will" in fall 2008. It was GENseng's first production of a contemporary Asian script and its first South Asian production. In the seriocomedy of familial errors, patriarch Hasmukh Mehta, played by Hamza Murtaza, bedevils his family in life and in death by leaving an impossible will. The twin "Dromii" of Ephesus and Syracuse (Hara Kang and Jesse VanEpps) — which is which? This scene was featured in the 2005 production of "A Korean Comedy of Errors." Costumes were designed by Randy Kaplan and built by Karen Polo. Scenic design was Steve Stubblefield. Mask supervision was handled by Adam West, lighting design by Kay Wallace. The stage manager was Renee Hartz.

President Battles in Cuba
SUNY Geneseo President Denise E. Battles was recently in Cuba to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Universidad de Holguín, which establishes a working partnership that will provide Geneseo students the opportunity to study at the Cuban institution. Geneseo students were there at the same time for an academic class led by Geneseo and Holguín faculty. The president paused for a photo with the Scene.
